MCAT Coverage Tracker
See every AAMC content category in one place: which notes you have read, how many questions you have tried, and how accurate you are. Then pick the next topic with one click.
Private by design. This tracker reads progress that is already saved in this browser by the notes pages and the practice sets. Nothing on this page is uploaded or shared. Clearing your browser data resets it.

How the tracker works
- Notes read
- A notes page counts as read the first time you open it in this browser. Each category lists the notes pages mapped to it in our notes by AAMC category index, so "2 of 3" means you have opened two of the three pages that cover it.
- Questions and % correct
- Counted from practice sets and practice tests you finish on this site, grouped by the AAMC category each question is tagged with. CARS questions are not tagged by reasoning skill, so all CARS practice counts toward each of the three CARS skill rows.
- Status
- Not started no notes read and no questions attempted. In progress some activity, but not yet at the Practised bar. Practised at least 10 questions attempted and at least 1 mapped notes page read. Practised measures effort, not mastery: check the % correct column for that.
- Section coverage bar
- Each Practised category counts as 1, each In progress category counts as ½, and Not started counts as 0. The bar is that total divided by the number of categories in the section. Example: 3 Practised and 2 In progress out of 10 categories is (3 + 1) / 10 = 40%.
- Next topic to study
- Your weakest category with at least 5 questions attempted and under 70% correct. If no category meets that rule, it is the first Not started category in exam section order (Chem/Phys, CARS, Bio/Biochem, Psych/Soc).
- Signed in?
- Practice results are kept separately for each account signed in on this browser, so the question columns show the account you are signed in with. Notes reading is recorded per browser.
The percentages here describe your practice on this site only. They are not an MCAT score and do not predict one.
