MCAT Practice Test
Choose your test type and start practicing. Questions are organized around the AAMC's published MCAT content outline across all four sections, and CARS questions come with their full passage.
Full Mock: 230 questions in 6 h 15 min, the same question counts (Chem/Phys 59, CARS 53, Bio/Biochem 59, Psych/Soc 59) and total testing time as the real exam. Half-Length Test: exactly half of both (115 questions, 3 h 8 min). Differences from test day: one clock for the whole test instead of a timer per section, no scheduled breaks, and science questions here are mostly stand-alone, while on the real exam about three quarters of each science section is passage-based. For passage-based science practice, use Section Practice below.
Section Practice
Run one MCAT section on its own. Results feed your section results, mistake journal and weak-topic tracking.
Why Take MCAT Practice Tests?
Timed practice is one of the most effective ways to prepare for the MCAT. The AAMC exam contains roughly 230 scored questions across four sections, Bio/Biochem, Chem/Phys, Psych/Soc, and CARS, completed over about 7.5 hours of seated time. Simulating that environment builds the stamina, pacing, and confidence you need on test day.
Our practice questions are organized by the AAMC's published content categories (1A–10A) plus CARS reasoning skills. Each question comes with a detailed explanation so you can learn from mistakes immediately. Whether you have 30 minutes for a quick set or want a full-length 230-question simulation, there is a format that fits your schedule.
How It Works
Select a test type above: Quick Test (20 questions), Half-Length Test (115 questions), or Full Mock (230 questions), or practise one section on its own. Questions are drawn from across the four MCAT sections in proportions that mirror the real exam and appear in real exam order: Chem/Phys, CARS, Bio/Biochem, Psych/Soc. CARS questions are grouped under their passage, as on test day. Your progress is saved in this browser, so you can close the tab and resume later. When you finish, you will see your score breakdown by section, time spent, and detailed explanations for every answer, so you can target the content categories that need the most work.
This page runs free timed MCAT practice tests in your browser, with no account required. Choose a 20-question Quick Test (30 minutes), a 115-question Half-Length Test (3 hours 8 minutes), or a 230-question Full Mock timed like the real exam’s 6 hours 15 minutes of testing across Chem/Phys, CARS, Bio/Biochem and Psych/Soc. Every question comes with an explanation.
